Q: Is the 2021 Alaska Wholesale Gift Show going to be held?
A: No, unfortunately the in-person 2021 show has been canceled. An online version has been added, currently scheduled for September 13-17, 2021.

Q: Why was the Show canceled?
A: Participant safety and Municipal health restrictions. All Anchorage Municipal venues have been restricted since March 2020 by Municipal Ordinance. Indoor events are currently limited to 10 people. We have approx. 1000 participants in the Alaska Wholesale Gift Show.

Q: What is going to happen to the Alaska Wholesale Gift Show?
A: The 2021 show is being held as a virtual event, the Alaska Wholesale Gift Show Online Marketplace. The 2022 show is being planned as an in-person event.


Q: I’ve already paid in full for the 2021 event. What are my options?
A: You have choices.
-You can leave the funds on deposit for the 2022 event. You keep your booth location and preferences. As a bonus, you’ll receive a free listing in the 2021 Online Buyers Guide, a $100 value.
- You can leave ½ of the funds as a down payment for 2022 event and use the balance to purchase a virtual package.
- You can request a refund. If you paid by cash or check, you will receive a full refund but you will lose your booth location and preferences for the 2022 event. If you purchased using a credit card, you will receive a refund less 3% credit card fees and lose booth location and preferences for the 2022 event.

Q: What If I have only paid ½ down and still owe for the 2021 event?
A: You have choices.
-You can leave the funds you’ve already paid on deposit. You keep your booth location, preferences and receive a free listing in the 2021 Online Buyers Guide. The remaining funds would be due in August 2021.
- You can request a refund, less 3% if you paid by credit card or receive 100% if you paid by cash or check. You would lose your booth location and preference for the 2022 event.

Q: I’ve paid for the 2021 event and would like to participate in the 2021 virtual event, what do I do?
A: Review the package options for the Online Marketplace and select your level of participation. We will deduct the cost of your Online Marketplace package from your account balance. You can leave the remaining funds on deposit for the 2022 event or request a refund.


Q: What is the 2021 Online Marketplace?
A: The Alaska Wholesale Gift Show Online Marketplace replaces the Alaska Gift Show website for the 2021 season. We will invite Buyers to register and attend the Online Marketplace just like we do every year for the in-person event. The website will be online throughout the year but will have the most activity during the event week, April 19-23 2021.

Q: What is the difference in the Online Marketplace packages?
A:  You can participate in the Online Marketplace several different ways. A basic line listing as an Exhibitor is $100. If you want to use photos, videos, downloadable documents, host Zoom meetings etc. then choose the Marketplace Package that has the features you desire. In general, you get more images, videos, features and available space as you increase in price.

Q: Are there any other discounts available for the Online Marketplace packages?
A: Make your package selection and get the information to us prior to December 1, 2020 and receive a $50 discount off the Bronze, Silver or Gold packages.

Q: How can I use Virtual Meeting software, like Zoom or Skype with the Online Marketplace? Can I meet with clients online?
A: Yes. Purchase the Gold Marketplace package. Decide on how you want to use the Virtual Meeting software, for instance, to meet with a single person, schedule meetings at specific times, host a group meeting etc. Set up your meeting using the software and provide us with the meeting link and access. We will build the links into your Online Marketplace Exhibitor listing.


Q: I’ve paid for an Ad in the 2021 Gift Show Buyers Guide. Are you going to have a printed version?
A: There is not going to be a print version for 2021. Your Ad would get posted in the 2021 Online version and in the Online Marketplace with Home page placement. The 2021 Online version would remain available throughout the  year until it is replaced with the 2022 Gift Show Buyers Guide.


Q: How is YOUTUBE used in the Online Marketplace?
A: YOUTUBE is the video engine we are using for the Online Marketplace. Your video is uploaded to the Alaska Wholesale Gift Show YOUTUBE account and then linked to your Exhibitor Page. This means that your video will be available to be viewed on YOUTUBE enabled devices worldwide.

Q: How do I make a video for YOUTUBE?
A: YOUTUBE videos can be made using many types of equipment, from cellular phones to more elaborate, professional video gear. Video requirements for YOUTUBE can be found online at

Video Submission Guidelines

  • You must be either the copyright holder or the authorized representative of the copyright owner for all video files that you provide us for uploading
  • Recommended dimensions: 426 x 240 (240p), 640 x 360 (360p), 854 x 480 (480p), 1280 x 720 (720p), 1920 x 1080 (1080p), 2560 x 1440 (1440p) and 3840 x 2160 (2160p).
    Minimum dimension is 426 x 240.
    Max dimension is 3840 x 2160.
  • Aspect ratio is 16:9 (auto adds pillarboxing if 4:3).
    Max video file size is 15 minutes.
  • Accepted video formats include: .MOV, .MPEG4, MP4, .AVI, .WMV, .MPEGPS, .FLV, 3GPP, and WebM.

Photo Submission Guidelines

  • You must be either the copyright holder or the authorized representative of the copyright owner for all image files that you provide us for uploading
  • 72 DPI 
  • 300 x 300 pixels in size MINIMUM 
    This is approx. a 4in x 4in image
  • Acceptable formats include :  JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, PDF
  • We can make most necessary adjustments

  • Gather your content and send it to us in one email
  • Do not spread your submission over multiple emails or methods
  • If your files are too large for you to send in email, consider using Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive, authorize our access and send us a link
  • Review your images prior to sending and confirm they meet the Submission Guidelines
